China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing today (25th) released the cold chain logistics operation data from January to May this year. The data show that with the support of market demand and policies, China's cold chain logistics has maintained a steady development trend, which strongly supports the improvement of the quality of consumer goods.
From January to May this year, China's cold chain logistics totaled 2.76 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.0%; Cold chain logistics demand totaled 191 million tons, up 4.2% year on year. Although the unit price of cold storage rental has decreased, the rental rate has increased by about 10 percentage points.
From January to May this year, the revenue of fresh electricity supplier cold chain logistics, rural delivery cold chain logistics, cross-border cold chain logistics and other businesses increased by about 10% year-on-year.
In addition, the development of cold chain equipment driven by renewable energy and technological advances such as more efficient refrigeration technology and research and application of new insulation materials have further promoted the sustainable development of the cold chain industry.
